How do we get the ball rolling?
Simply contact us for a chat and we can arrange to meet you and your pooch. This preliminary meeting is to get-to-know each other and most importantly to meet your dog...it is important that Rex, Salty, Blossom, or whoever your pooch might be, genuinely likes us! If your posh pooch wags their tail or guards the door growling to stop us from leaving, we know it's a good sign for us to bond!
Are you insured?
Absolutely, insurance is a must for any professional dog walker and sitter as it protects both parties in the contract.
How do you transport pooches in your care?
By car. We do not use a van and would never resort to that mode of transportation, for it is impersonal, alienating, and does not allow us to monitor the pooch in our care. We choose to use a secure, safe, yet cosy, rear space in our estate car.
How do you walk dogs?
We always walk dogs on their lead...this can be an extendable one if the client provides their own.
Do you wipe dogs clean after walks?
Yes, we shall return your companion to you as squeaky clean as possible. We shall even clean behind their ears! During the rub down, we also use this as an opportunity to check for ticks, stubborn seeds, and any little injuries. Of course, this does require the co-operation of the pooch in question, but we do find that most canines love the massage-type rub down after a good run. Whilst we aim for perfection, some spots of dirty may well remain on pooches with longer coats!
Do you keep owners updated during walks?
Yes! All we require is your email address and we can send you a complimentary photo from each walk. We find most owners like to have a visual update about their pooch and to feel part of the walk even when they are not present. We will also send a text message at the end of each walk to let you know that your pooch is safely home relaxing.
How do we pay you?
Please see our Dog Walking Agreement for details.
Walking during adverse weather
This is the thing, we don't get a kick out of dog walking when ice is underfoot. It is dangerous for both dog walker and your beloved dog. Thus, a risk assessment would be conducted and should it be too risky to walk in such conditions, I can take your dog out to do their business before swiftly returning indoors for playtime.
Do you accept dogs with behavioural issues, such as aggression?
Sorry, I am afraid that we do not as we take safeguarding very seriously.
